Special Terminology:
Proofreading: An already-edited document is examined one final time, checking for any remaining errors. Corrections will be made directly to the PC document.

Basic Copyediting: Involves checking spelling, grammar, punctuation, and consistency for errors. It does not include a substantive line-by-line editing, as described below.

Substantive Copyediting: Used for manuscripts which require considerable reorganization and/or rewriting. Editing includes assessing basic elements of structure: tempo, consistency, organization, flow, repetition and redundancy, etc. It also includes basic copyediting (see above.)

Article Summary: Involves taking a rather lengthy article and condensing it – highlighting the substantive portions – for publication on a website, in a newsletter, or in another arena where space is limited.

Writing: Articles, reviews, critiques, etc. may be commissioned for a flat page rate.

Research Projects: Personalized, one-of-a-kind, and plagiarism-free research projects on a wide variety of topics and academic levels.  Flexible time constraints including rush options.  Intimate familiarity with APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, and Turabian citation styles.  Fees range from $10-$25/page depending upon academic level, time constraints, and other specialized situations.

For All Services:
Rates vary based on the nature of the work and the time frame involved.

Flat fees may be arranged for larger projects or repeat customers.


I will provide a revised manuscript.doc file with corrections for spelling, grammar, formatting and typographical errors. The corrections will be made without tracking or highlighting,so your document is print-ready. 


Submissions:  I prefer the project sent as an MS Word attachment. Upon receipt of the project, I will contact you to discuss the project, pricing, and payment options. If you wish to discuss your project with me prior to submission, you may contact me via e-mail. I offer free, no-obligation estimates.  Please include your contact information, type and length of project, service(s) desired, proposed time frame, and specific concerns. Quotes can typically be estimated from the project sample. For a complete quote I will need to see the entire project.


Your final cost will never exceed my estimate; however, additional expenses (copying, postage, long distance charges, etc.) will be documented and billed to the client.
